One of the big lies liberals and leftists tell is that only whites are racists. Wrong! Every human being can behave in a racist manner, even blacks, and other minorities. However, the “race card” cannot be used to avoid legitimate issues and questions.
Just like liberals and leftists say “no human being is illegal,” they love to claim that only whites are racists. However, racism is a human problem like all other social problems, and everyone on earth is capable of discriminating based on race, ethnicity, gender, or religion.
Anti-police sentiments flared up in Memphis, TN, last night on Wednesday, June 12, after U.S. Marshals fatally shot a local man. A mob, assuming the police had "murdered" the "defenseless" man, reacted violently against police officers in a manner that has become all too common.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said its agents were called to the scene of a shooting involving a federal, regional anti-crime task force. The Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, led by U.S. Marshalls, went to a house to look for a suspect with felony warrants and saw a man attempt to flee in a vehicle. The man rammed police vehicles several times before exiting with a weapon, and it was then that law enforcement opened fire, killing him at the scene.
A crowd, fueled by rumors, gathered and threw rocks and bricks injuring 25 officers. Several blocks near the scene were cordoned off, and officers had to use tear gas and to disperse the crowd. Only three people were arrested.
Sacramento police struggled to get cooperation from bystanders who taunted them last Wednesday, June 19, while cordoning off the scene of a shootout that led to the death of an officer. Violence, disrespect, and distrust toward law enforcement officers, whether state and local police or Border Patrol, has worsened in the last ten years.
Police-community relations have suffered ever since former President Obama and his administration welcomed the cop-hating Black Lives Matter to the White House, and justified the riots and violence against police officers in various cities. As of Monday, June 24, 2019, twenty-five police officers have been shot and killed in the line of duty since January 1, 2019.
Officer Tara O’Sullivan of the Sacramento PD was shot and killed while responding to a domestic violence call. One day later, Corporal Jose Espericueta of the Mission TX PD was shot and killed as he and other officers attempted to apprehend a subject who had threatened family members. Two days later, Police Officer Michael Langsdorf of the North County Police Dept. in Missouri was shot and killed after responding to a call involving a man attempting to cash a fraudulent check.
In the latest example of the war on Texas heritage and history, the Houston Chronicle ran an opinion piece by Chris Tomlinson on Wednesday, April 10, criticizing Texas’ cowboys and the Alamo. According to Tomlinson, Texas needs to “rebrand” itself away from “racially charged myths.” Beware, Texans.
The Left likes to use shame and guilt to rewrite history and reinvent culture, and this is a good example. Tomlinson says, “Every time I visit the Alamo or see Houstonians don cowboy garb for “Go Texan Day,” I wonder how much longer the long-tall Texan shtick of blazing guns, big hats, high boots, and ethnic warfare will work as a state brand.”
It appears that Tomlinson views western clothing in racial terms. We should wonder if he judges someone who wears baggy pants with the underwear showing in the same manner?
