The U.S. Border Patrol in Texas has begun conducting exercises to prepare for the arrival of one or more of the "migrant caravans," containing thousands of mainly Central Americans who want to enter the United States, “one way or another.” Is Texas prepared and what can be done to protect the border?
Sadly, Mexico has proven once again, that it is NOT our friend even though U.S. money was pledged to Mexico and Central America to stop caravans and illegal immigration on Dec. 19, 2018. Once again, last week, Mexico let this Central American caravan through their borders and even helped them with buses when they reached Mexico City yesterday Friday, Feb. 1, 2019.
Meanwhile, we have no border wall, and the Border Patrol is stressed out and stretched-thin. There is little to discourage and dissuade foreigner from entering our nation illegally or under pretenses.
We also have liberal attorneys and judges ready to give these illegal aliens the same constitutional rights, benefits, and privileges as citizens and help them remain in the U.S. The word “Illegal” apparently doesn’t mean anything to them.
Furthermore, we leftist activists and organizations that encourage and assist aliens in entering illegally, to stay and even hide in the U.S.
Finally, we have many self-serving business owners who do not want their international commercial ventures interrupted by a more secure border. Money is more important to them than the security and safety of our nation’s citizens.
This illegal alien caravan is another apparent attempt to undermine American national sovereignty and to invade, yes invade, America.
First, our response to this caravan should be to shut them out entirely until they follow the proper procedure to apply for entry into the U.S. The includes checking their criminal background and investigating their claims for asylum.
Second, foreign aid to Mexico and Central America should be halted immediately until these countries do something to disband and end these caravans.
Third, the U.S. should deport all illegal aliens immediately, and all public assistance to them should be ended, as well as their unauthorized employment by businesses.
We cannot continue to excuse and reward illegal immigration with the same benefits, rights, and privileges as lawful, legal American citizens.
We also cannot allow the U.S. to turn into the world’s orphanage by admitting all illegal alien children into our country without restrictions or limitations. An illegal alien is illegally in the U.S. regardless of their age.
We must do something to stop the unrestricted and uncontrolled illegal immigration into our nation. It’s not heartless, un-Christian or racist to say our immigration policies should be “America First.
