Liberal San Antonio Express-News reporter Jason Buch who covers immigration and border affairs, wrote a reported about the alleged abuses of illegal alien detainees at Texas facilities. However, the news item was based on a report released last Thursday, March 22, by an immigrant "rights" groups.
Buch refers to interviews by "advocates" who report that 30 men from Somalia being held at a detention facility in Robstown, TX were abused. The report claims about 80 "immigrants"(Buch refuses to use the term "illegal alien") from Africa that had been ordered deported, were abused by guards at the private prison company that is under contract to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
We should remember that Somalia is the home of some the most vicious pirates and terrorists in the world. We should also understand that illegal aliens can get and will get violent in an effort to prolong their stay and avoid deportation.
Any reports by illegal alien rights groups must be viewed with a certain amount of caution because of their agenda. Liberals enjoy using the "victim card" to promote their issues and pro-illegal alien groups will seek public sympathy for their clients.
No one should ever be abused, but ultimately, we should understand that illegal aliens chose on their own to come to the U.S. illegally, and we should question what "rights" illegal aliens truly have? What part of the word "illegal" don't the SA Express and illegal alien advocates understand?
