The Democrats and the liberal Media are upset (as usual) that President Trump and Congressional Republicans want to create a special counsel to investigate the FBI. They say the FBI must stay “independent”. However, they forget the FBI is part of the Justice Department, and Justice is part of the Administration that Pres. Trump oversees, directs, manages, and administers. The FBI is NOT independent. Furthermore, if Congress wants to investigate and question the FBI, or any agency in the Administration, they can because Congress represents the “people”. Congress has been called “the most democratic branch of government” because it is closest to the voters/citizens.
If a president or administration agency misbehaves, Congress should rein them in. In this case, it appears the FBI has misbehaved, and both the President and Congress want to investigate and rein them in.
While the Democrats and the liberal Media seem to view an investigation of the FBI as a threat to the Constitution, it is constitutionally legal. On the other hand, if the FBI did involve itself in a political campaign to play politics, that is illegal. Let’s follow the Constitution and be transparent.
