San Antonio mayor Ron Nirenberg continues to say that his city government is transparent and inclusive, however, that’s very difficult to believe when so many city policy decisions are made behind closed doors.  For example, the city council went into “secret session” to discuss the city ordinance, which would require all private employers in the city to grant paid sick leave to all full time employees. Councilman Greg Brockhouse said, "This may affect every employee and business owner in San Antonio and they must be included in the debate. As we have learned in the past, decisions made without key stakeholders erode the public’s trust.
