San Antonio Claims “Racism” is a Public Health Problem

Racism Public Health Crisis San Antonio City Councilwoman Jada Andrews-Sullivan, a Black Democrat, presented a city resolution declaring racism, a public health crisis. The proposed resolution claims the City should do something about minorities suffer from stress due to racism and discrimination.

However, this is more forced social engineering, which will expand the city government and reduce personal freedoms. The proposed resolution has passed a committee review, and it has been referred to the City Council for approval.

Andrews-Sullivan dramatically said, “We have to address the demon that is before us, and we have to slay the dragon because we are Goliaths in this war, and that’s what we’re doing by declaring racism as a public health crisis.” She claims the resolution is “inclusive,” but ironically, it downplays help for whites.

SA Councilman Trevino Calls for Defunding the SAPD

SAPD badge San Antonio City Councilman Roberto Treviño, a radical leftist Democrat, has called for defunding SAPD. Like other major cities across the country, the San Antonio City Council has been pandering to Black Lives Matter and portraying all police and law enforcement officers as racist villains who victimize blacks.

Trevino said, “We must take action and defund the police. Those funds must be reallocated into social services that support our community. We have an opportunity to make changes to the upcoming bargaining contract agreement. Change can happen the moment we take action, and this action is long overdue.”

Attacking the police officers’ pension is a backdoor approach to defund and discourage the officers. Be assured that the BLM and leftists’ goal is to abolish the police altogether.

Laredo Approves “Defund the Wall” Sign

On Monday, July 27, the Laredo (TX) City Council voted unanimously to paint the public street in front of the federal courthouse downtown to say “DEFUND THE WALL” in large block letters in solidarity with the open-borders group, “No Border Wall Coalition.” It is another example of how liberal local elected officials are bending over backward to appease leftist groups by using public property to actively undermining law enforcement and the U.S. Constitution.

Imagine is a Tea Party group would ask that “Taxed Enough Already” be painted in front of the Webb County or Laredo school district offices? What if a pro-life message was painted on public property in front of a public hospital? What if a pro-school voucher message in front of the public-school administration offices on public property?

Democrats & the COVID Assistance Bill

The Democrats and the liberal/leftist news Media are portraying their version of the latest COVID relief package as assistance for cities’ “essential services.” However, Democrats want to fund cities who have misspent, overspent, and mismanaged their budgets to bail them out of their debt.

Republicans want the money to go directly to businesses and people. Small companies that employ workers need help during the extended shutdown, and providing people direct funds is critical.

Leftist DA’s Influence Local Justice

George Soros1 There are many consequences for local elections, and one of them is who is elected the District Attorney, who is the chief local prosecutor. Sadly, Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the St. Louis, MO, couple who protected their home from rioters with guns, have been charged with felonies in the incident.

On June 28, a Black Lives Matters crowd marched past the McCloskey home as they protested the nearby home of the St. Louis mayor. The McCloskey felt threatened by the crowd when protesters broke down a private gate and headed past their residence. They said they feared for their property and lives and held a rifle and handgun on their front porch.

Of course, the leftist/liberal news media and BLM leaders criticized the McCloskey, who is white, for “threatening” the protesters. On Monday, July 20, St. Louis District Attorney Kim Gardner (a Democrat, a black female, and the city’s top prosecutor) charged the McCloskeys with felony unlawful use of a weapon.
