Leftist Group Targets the San Antonio Police Association

War on Police A Black Lives Matter affiliated group in San Antonio called “Fix SAPD” is lobbying SA City Hall to roll back the San Antonio Police Officers Association’s collective bargaining. They want to limit SAPOA’s ability to defend police officers by ending an arbitration process that makes it difficult to fire alleged “corrupt” officers. This is an effort to erode one more piece of law enforcement to undermine law and order in San Antonio.

Meanwhile, the City had three violent and deadly incidents within 48 hours, and it wasn’t even a weekend. Between Wednesday, July 15, and Friday, July 17, the following incidents were reported.

Outrageous Arrogance

Civil Politics vs Bullying In a show of delusional self-importance, members of the “Reliable Revolutionaries,” a Black Lives Matter subgroup in San Antonio, are demanding SA City Councilman Clayton Perry resign. Perry is being targeted because he did not kneel in a city council meeting to “honor” their cause as they demanded. However, someone should explain several things to these “revolutionaries.”

First, the revolutionaries need to understand (accept) that the citizens of SA district 10 elected Perry, and he serves at their will. Any changes in district representation should be done and will be done, by the voters and not by petulant outsiders.

Stop Blaming Police & Start Reforming Values and Culture

Congress and local governments are holding hearings to develop ideas about how to stop “police violence.” All police officers are being blamed for the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

However, we should be honest and look at the culture and values among minorities and stop blaming only the police nor all the police. Police are not villains, and all blacks and minorities are not innocent victims of police brutality.

Stop blaming ONLY the police.

War on Police In Atlanta, there was another police shooting of a black man on Friday, June 12, more blaming of the police, and more lawlessness justified by community leaders, liberal politicians, and the news media. Monday morning quarterbacking is easy when objectivity doesn’t matter, and when emotional responses fit the political narrative.

The facts are these. The man was drunk in public, and he was driving intoxicated, and he fell asleep and obstructed a fast-food drive-through disrupting a private business. Then he resisted arrest and fought with the police, he tried to take their weapons, and he tried to flee. Other than that, he was not doing anything wrong.

Another Danger for Police Officials

War on Police There’s a new danger to police officials as several of them from across the nation have had their personal information hacked and posted online amid the nationwide anti-police movement. Police officials from Atlanta, Boston, New York, and Washington, D.C. have had their home addresses, emails, and phone numbers hacked and compromised.
