Opposing Palestinian Refugees
Two Republican Congress members have introduced legislation prohibiting the U.S. from accepting potential Palestinian refugees displaced by the conflict in Israel. This has inspired cries of racism by liberals and leftists who claim “humanitarianism” as the reason for accepting Palestinian refugees.
Reps. Tom Tiffany, R-Wis., and Andy Ogles, R-Tenn. have introduced a bill called “Guaranteeing Aggressors Zero Admission Act,” or the GAZA Act, which aims to prevent the Biden Administration from accepting Palestinian refugees. There are several reasons why we should prohibit Palestinian refugee entry into America.
First, the Biden Administration and the Democrats have left America’s borders wide open without vetting or control. Hundreds of Muslims on the terrorist list have been caught entering illegally, without knowing how many have successfully snuck in. Before any more refugees are allowed into the U.S., the border must be closed and controlled, and all aliens who have entered since January 2021 must be vetted.
Second, Palestinian refugees are fleeing war in their communities, and they can seek refuge in any country other than the U.S. Let other nations help them because we have a border/illegal immigration crisis.
Third, we must only foreigners with cultures willing to accept, accommodate, and support American values and political rights. The Bill of Rights should be respected if they are America.
Finally, they are refugees because they elected and supported a terrorist government. Hamas attacked Israel, and Israel responded, displacing them. As Obama famously said, “Elections have consequences,” electing Hamas has led to their suffering. America should not excuse and reward the support of terrorism.
America has the worst immigration crisis in its history, and we cannot accept any refugees at this time, mainly because there are terrorists hidden among them.
