Tuesday, April 23 – Robert Allen Gonsalez Patlan, age 27, died from stab wounds he received around 2:30 pm on Tuesday. The incident stemmed from an argument between Paltan and a 53-year-old over a small child who had gotten into one of the men’s personal belongings.

Thursday, April 25 – A homeowner shot two men after they allegedly tried stealing supplies from a house around 5:13 am in the 400 block of General Kruger Boulevard, near Blanco Road in the city. Officials said the men reportedly tried stealing roofing material.

Thursday, April 25 – A woman was hit with gunfire by a man who was invited to a family. The incident occurred around 11:30 pm at an apartment on Northeast Loop 410 Thursday.

Thursday, April 25—Police responded to multiple calls about a disturbance with a gun around 10:30 am at Culebra Meat Market 3 on Old Pearsall Road. Reports said a man tried to buy something with a counterfeit $50 bill. The staff identified the money as fake and told the man they were calling the police and could not return his money. The man became indignant and brandished a gun.

Friday, April 26 – Xavier Perez, age 27, was shot and killed early Friday morning while leaving a South Side basketball court. The shooting happened just after midnight at Brooks Inner-City Sports on Topeka Boulevard near Interstate 37. Numerous shell casings were found at the scene.

Saturday, April 27 – A man claimed self-defense after a shooting broke out downtown around 3:30 am near S. Alamo and E. Cesar Chavez Blvd. Police searched the area for a suspect who matched the caller’s description. Officers eventually found a 27-year-old man reportedly who matched the description. He told the officers he was acting in self-defense, claiming an unknown person fired upon him during an altercation. He stated he only returned fire.

Saturday, April 27 – Three people were found shot inside a truck downtown early Saturday morning when it pulled up to the University Health Robert B. Green Campus off West Martin Street around 12:30 am. Saturday. Officers say one man was shot in the head and chest. Two women were also shot. Two other people were found in the truck but were not hurt.

Saturday, April 27 – A man was hospitalized after being shot for allegedly trying to break into an apartment complex on the city’s East Side facility. The shooting happened around 7:30 am near the intersection of Marbach Road and Hunt Lane. According to reports, a man attempted to break into a residence at an apartment complex when the homeowner shot him.

Sunday, April 28 – The Fiesta celebration at Historic Market Square was interrupted by deadly gunfire late Saturday night when two young men started shooting at each other. One shooter pursued and killed the other shooter, and police shot him. One of the shooters was a repeat offender who was on bond. It shows that Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales is still endangering the public by not holding dangerous criminals in jail.
